Terms of Service
The rules and commitments governing vehicle purchases, home charger installations, diagnostic maintenance, and EV rentals across Nigeria.
1. Platform Nature & Marketplace Role
Everything Electric Cars is an independent digital marketplace platform connecting drivers, businesses, and fleet managers in Nigeria with verified third-party partners across four core pillars:
- Buy: Authorized domestic dealers and international import logistics partners offering new and certified pre-owned EVs and hybrids.
- Charge: Certified home wallbox equipment distributors and licensed electrical installation contractors.
- Service: High-voltage certified garages, diagnostic technicians, and specialist mechanics.
- Rent: Vetted rental operators offering daily, weekend, and long-term EV rentals.
Everything Electric Cars provides technological matching, partner verification, tracking milestones, and dispute mediation. The underlying sales, service, installation, and rental contracts are entered into directly between the customer and the verified partner.
2. Direct Bank Transfer Payment Model
Strict Peer-to-Peer Payment Policy (No Platform Escrow):
All financial transfers for vehicle deposits, full payments, charger installations, diagnostic services, and rentals are made directly from the customer's bank account to the verified partner's Nigerian commercial bank account as displayed on the official order invoice.
Everything Electric Cars never collects, holds, pools, or escrows customer funds. The platform will never instruct customers to make payments to personal accounts, cryptocurrency wallets, or foreign intermediaries.
Upon completing a bank transfer, buyers must submit an official Payment Notice through the platform containing the transaction reference number and bank receipt image to notify both the partner and platform operations.
3. The 6-Step Partner Verification Standard
To protect drivers from fraud and substandard workmanship, no partner can publish listings, receive customer bookings, or display bank settlement details on Everything Electric Cars until completing all 6 mandatory verification checks:
Active Corporate Affairs Commission registration verified against national registry records.
Settlement bank account name must strictly match the registered legal business name.
Government-issued identity cards (NIN, Driver's License, or Passport) verified for authorized directors.
Physical site inspection of showrooms, workshops, or premises recorded in audit logs.
Automotive trade licenses and high-voltage electrical certification audit.
Binding commitment to published refund policies, transparent pricing, and dispute cooperation.
4. Inspection, Pickup & Handover
Buyers must conduct a thorough physical inspection of domestic vehicles, equipment, or rental cars prior to taking delivery or signing the physical handover receipt. For vehicles imported from China, milestone tracking is maintained from factory packaging, vessel departure, customs duty clearance at Lagos ports, to final destination handover.
5. Cancellations, Refunds & Dispute Arbitration
Every order placed on the platform is governed by the specific partner's published cancellation window and refund schedule accepted at checkout.
- Dispute Reporting Window: Customers must report discrepancies (non-delivery, vehicle specifications mismatch, or installation failures) within 48 hours of the scheduled milestone or handover.
- Partner Obligations: If a refund is ruled valid, the partner must process refund transfer to the customer's original bank account within their stated working day window.
- Platform Enforcement: Partners with overdue or unpaid dispute refunds are immediately suspended from the platform, their active listings frozen, and their verification badge revoked.
6. Limitation of Liability
Everything Electric Cars exercises reasonable diligence in vetting partners. However, the platform does not manufacture vehicles, provide electrical installation labour, or guarantee roadworthiness beyond verified partner inspections. All product warranties are provided directly by vehicle manufacturers and partner dealerships.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising that cannot be resolved amicably through platform mediation shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
